Ah, yes. Now I see the
money format not valid
error message; however, the error message
This snipe may have been entered too late into Gixen and may not be executed.
is displayed more prominently and in
red
.
In any case, I don't think the original poster's snipe, for whatever reason, was actually added, either. Thus, it didn't show up in the logs. Perhaps he should look closer to see if there is another error message at the top of the page if this happens again.

It's still a bug, of course. That message should not be shown.

Just wondering, what does "entered too late" has to do with incorrect money format?
From my point of view (user) it appears that "entered too late" might have something to do with item number, while "incorrect money format" is related to my snipe only.

I was able to add it without problems, as well, Mario. So I tried adding it with "$2.00" entered, and it gave me exactly the error message he reported. So, I suspected that the error was being thrown because of incorrectly entered data. Would that show up in the logs?
Don't mind me. I'm just thinking out loud. :?

I was able to add this item without problems. I also checked the log files, and at no place do I see an incorrectly obtained timestamp.
So I am either missing something, or you provided a wrong item id.
If you experience this again, it will be greatly helpful if you could record an approximate time when you added such a snipe.

This error occurs if you type non-numeric characters in the
Your bid:
field. For example, if you enter
AU $2.00
you will get this error.
Enter your bid as, say, 10.00 (only using digits and the decimal character). The bid will be interpreted by eBay as being in the auction's currency, AU$ in this case.

Post subject: This snipe may have been entered too late into Gixen: NOT!

Hi there,
the last 3 to 4 times I have tried to get Gixen to bid for me, I get the error that the snipe may have been entered too late...but they usually have 3+ days to go.
Just happened again on above item no. What am I doing wrong?
