OK. So your definite that in future if I can manually bid on an item at all, nomatter what the restriction (PayPal etc) that gixen will be able place the same bid? You mentioned that gixen 'emulates' a web browser, so I\'m assuming it uses scripting or the ebay API to send requests. How does gixen operate in an identical manner to the end user - when I enter a manual bid and click 'Place Bid' does gixen send exactly the same request to ebay's web server? Thanks! Great service you have running btw.
Liam, sorry for the late response. Yes, you are right, Gixen sends identical request to ebay as you would ("scraping" web pages). It is not using eBay API.
And yes, I agree Guest.

Liam,
I would guess you needed to email the seller to be added to the pre-approved bidder list.
If you were not pre-approved no manual or sniper bid would be allowed.
Google it for more info, I can't post a link in this thread to the eBay page in question.
Hope this helps.
Do you agree Mario?

Can you explain? Frankly, if Gixen got message auction was restricted, I don't believe you were able to bid on this auction manually either.

So disappointed. Gixen couldn't perform the bid for me even though I could do it manually. It seems as though gixen doesn't work on items that have such requirements. Pretty annoying, although I guess it's my own fault

Gixen bids the same way you would do it yourself manually.
If you are able to submit bid manually, Gixen is able to do it as well.

Post subject: PayPal verified
Hi, I've set a snipe on an item and would like to know if gixen will successfully bid on an item if "PayPal account required". I've already scheduled the snipe, and linked PayPal to ebay, so there shouldn't be any issues here right?
