Link doesn't seem to work. And the \\\"Gixen Desktop Manager\\\" section on the main page doesn't have any links in it, even though the wording suggests that it should have. |

Probably related to the issues that Mario is acknowledging on this thread. So perhaps best to keep reports about Desktop Manager in one place on that thread, for the moment. |

It is looking like a common factor in these reports might be Windows 7. |

Hi, Gixen Desktop 2.10 does not show the Highest Bid. If you manually refresh it flashes up and then disappears again. I have tried resetting the Preferences to refresh every 1 minute, the lower bar message shows it is refreshing but this does not trigger the Highest Bid value that stays at "N/A" and only responds to a manual refresh. I see several others posting the same issue, so it seems that the s/w link is somehow broken in this version? The PC is running Windows 7 64 Pro. Any help to show this appreciated. Like others, I do monitor the bids as I often set a lowish limit but sometimes have to raise this a little if there is a flurry of bidding for a very popular item, so it is a useful function. |

In my view that's not a good idea, based on a single auction... but we are getting off the subject and into what prior research is necessary and the philosophy of sniping in general so I'll park that there.
If you mean Windows 7 and not 10.7 that might be an issue as I have no idea how backwards compatible the library software that the Desktop Manger uses might be. |

"Do you, like them, find the pushing the 'Refresh Gixen Status' button restores the display, until the next update ?"
No goes to N/A within seconds even when set to 15 minute refresh
What exact version of Windows are you running it under ? 7
"Personally, I decide always my bid amount before even entering the snipe amount in the first place.

Our use of this software was to see if you are being outbid in time to increase bid if you want to as our bid limit can change. |

Yes, someone else posted about it, in passing, here:

I see that it's the auction price that is affected, not the snipe amount, I'm sorry I misunderstood your opening post.

YES All bids go ok.
but with the high bid gone to N/A, you do not know how much to increase your bid.
Makes my DESKTOP MANAGER almost useless.
Is anyone else having same issue? |

OK, so it's (just) a display issue in the Desktop Manager then, the underlying data is not being updated.
So your bids are still being processed correctly by the sniping software ? |
