If you look at the bids page
here
you can see that the winning bid has 'Best Offer' in front of it.
This means the seller decided to accept an offer on the item and close the auction before it was due to end.
As a result Gixen would not have had the opportunity to place a bid for you.

I just discovered I lost EBay Item #143132213567 to a bid of $49.99.
My bid was $75.56.
I do not see where a bid was even placed for me. I do not understand.
