Post subject: BOTH ACCOUNTS ACTIVE
WELL, BOTH OF MY EBAY ACCOUNTS WITH DIFFERENT USER NAMES SEEM TO BE WORKING ! bids that I placed were either lost due to "UNDER PRICED" or I receive notices that the bidding price has gone up.Now I will enter a bid that i really want and hope that it goes through .The only thing that I did was to empty all of my stored passwords in CHROME PASSWORD STORAGE,and the E bay reset file found there and manually entered the new password both for Ebay and Gixen.

Post subject: bid failures
WOULD it cause any problems if GIXEN users were to change there ISP address ;as it is often recommended to do for security matters? I have tried to see what may have caused me to lose out on those bids as happened to others. Some have posted that they have tried many different experiments, and none of them worked.I also noticed that in CHROME settings they store passwords and also there is a new file from Ebay which deals with password reset. people may have to delete that file from their CHROME manage passwords folder, then manually reenter their ebay sign in and when prompted by CHROME to save this password, if it is accepted, then it can be accessed by GIXEN.

Post subject: AUTHENTICATION FAILURES
The two items that i placed bids on were outbid, not the end of the world,as i am trying to cut back on spending anyway. there is another item from that same company that I will cancel. At least the bids were placed. Now all I have to do is to place some bids using my other ebay account and see if that will go through. Somewhere along the line there seems to be some conflict. There is another item that I want, but for the sake of science (yeah right) I will risk using my ebay account with the problems. to place that bid if it doesn't go through, well perhaps Gixen can compare the two settings and determine what may be the problem. I no longer collapse after losing Ebay auctions because there are always the same items that appear up again and most times the bargains are even better. !

Assuming these snipes were scheduled with an account of yours that currently has 43 feedbacks... that seems to have worked fine?

Post subject: VERIFICATION BLAOKAGE
I have placed two bids here on Gixen using one of my eBay accounts. These two are scheduled to end today in a few hours. I will see if they go through. they are not terribly important, I thought of trying to bid on some penny auctions, but decideD to just enter items that i might be interested in purchasing. So if all goes well, it might indicate that there is something wrong with my other ebay account or settings, if it doesn't go through, then it's must be GIXEN .THE ITEMS ARE AS FOLLOWS:391199454748....391199456417

trydavid400,
Every case is different - there were cases in the past where ebay blocked some bids (with captchas) even though users did not do anything wrong, but that's not the case here. There were two bids - one with the old (hence incorrect) password and bid that was high enough (to no avail), and another one with the new password, but with the bid that was too low. That's what I see.

Post subject: BLOCKED AND MISSED SNIPES
THEN i don't know what the issue is as several others here on gixen forum have the same issues. They placed bids and did not change password and still they were locked out! One person placed test bids and he won, but only because he manually placed them, which proves it's not Ebay but some bad connection with Gixen (sorry Mario).I wanted to make sure that I would win that item that I mentioned, so I used my other ebay account and it is also registered here on gixen. I purposely entered a low amount to see if Gixen was communicating with Ebay and since it informed me that my "test bid" was under-priced, I figured that at least Gixen had access to ebay and my prime bid would go through, but it didn't. I received the " ebay refuses to authenticate your identity "message that others received.I recall that Gixen was 'down" when i used a web site that can tell if a site is available to some or completely shut down. I don't know if all Gixen members were ''welcomed back on board " when their servers came back on line.I will try to delete all of my ebay passwords and gixen sign on links and then see,but I am afraid that there are problems with certain members that are not affecting everybody !

111714591503 was clearly scheduled before password was changed. I can see another snipe for the same username and item placed afterwards, on which status is "BID UNDER ASKING PRICE". On this one bid was much lower than the original snipe. So everything seems as expected to me, I don't see anything out of order.

Post subject: EBAY FAILS
The test bids were placed under a different Ebay account than the one that i use most often. the only thing that might be causing the problem is that my telephone number is not the same now as shown on my ebay account. i will try to edit that and see if it repairs the problems. What i was trying to clarify earlier that Gixen can communicate with ebay and do updates on bids and inform us when an earlier bid that we made has been outbid, but it will not place the bid when it is time to place them ! Gixen does indeed have access to our ebay accounts, it (Gixen) just is not entering our bids when needed !

I am still not clear, sorry.
I agree no bids were ever placed on this auction.
If your test snipe was for less than US $11.99, then it wasn't really a valid test since Gixen won't even bother to log in if there is no chance that the bid would be accepted in any case.
Has Gixen yet provided you with a link to the instructions on how to set up the proxy?.. If so you will need to verify your account with Ebay after setting that up?
Have you ever entered snipes and then subsequently changed your Ebay credentials?... If so you need to check once more that the credentials that you sue to log into Ebay are exactly the same as the ones you use to log into Gixen... and ensure they remain the same until after all snipes have completed.
Is this a new account that you have set up for use with Gixen?.. If so have you made sure that you have completed all the steps that Ebay require before you are able to place a bid... I would advise anyone to make some test bids, maybe even win an auction or two manually, on any new account before setting up any snipes just to be sure of that.

Post subject: EBAY REJECTED SIGN IN
EBAY ITEM #111714591503. As you can see no bids were placed on this item even though I had one on gixen for almost $26 or something like that. After the auction ended, i received the message that Ebay rejected my sign in authorization. While the auction was active i could see the latest information on the auction and there were no bids, I could even edit and raise the projected bid, so apparently Gixen could not get through to the ebay account to place any bids.I tried to enter a lower "test" bid using my other ebay account just to make sure that i could win this item in case gixen hadn't repaired whatever problems were occurring over the last several weeks. i received the message that the bid was underbid, so again Gixen can communicate with my sign on accounts, but can not place any bids!

I am thinking it might also be that one of the Gixen servers, most likely the Main, is being blocked from logging into Ebay with this Ebay id while the other (most likely Mirror), Ebay is quite happy to allow... that might explain some of the apparent inconstancy in the message.
I agree we need more information before a proper analysis can be made though.

I really don't understand from your email what happened here. Were you outbid, or was login information wrong? It can't be both.
Please let me know what the item id is, and I will investigate.

Post subject: MULTIPLE EBAY USER NAMES
WHAT CAN be done when ebay refuses to allow my snipes suing one of my ebay user names? I have two, many people have more than that. Some to buy ....others to sell. Sometimes you get better deals when you write to the seller and play around with requests to lower their asking price. this seems to be a new problem with gixen, the once almost perfect snipe system is repeatedly letting me down. i tried to reset my main ebay user name and password three times, but my latest snipes were not accepted. Gixen will place a bid, but if the auction is active, it will tell you to increase your bid as you have been outbid, but after the auction is over and even if there were no other bids, you still are given news that ebay refused your sign in information. lately i am torn between loosing out and being a bit happy that i am saving money when i should not be using so much bidding on ebay items. perhaps this has been a blessing in disguise ! but i prefer to have the option of holding out on spending my money..not faults with gixen that are preventing me from doing so.
