Post subject: Thanks
^I believe the settings are the default. Target and Backup is United States, with "Change ebay target site automatically if needed:" set to "Yes".
Thank you for your quick response. I'll keep my bid snipe set to the amount I want to pay in Canadian Dollars.

sasquatch189,
If you are seeing a display of the current auction price, in a currency other than that of the auction (CAD), that is a display problem with Gixen.
With my target set to the United Kingdom I see that Gixen has not detected the currency at all (it should be Canadian Dollars)... What is your target setting on the Gixen Settings page... that should help Mario detect where the error lies... I would guess that Ebay have changed something on their auction pages, again, and this is what is causing the issue.
To confirm Gixen never converts the amount you enter as a snipe... that is always in the currency of the auction.

Post subject: Hope that auction currency is used
I hope it is correct that the conversion does not take place, because I am making my bid in the currency of the auction (eBay item number: 141721035274 ). I am only confused because the "current" column in Gixen shows the price in US dollars, not the currency of the auction. Why is the current price converted to US dollars if auction currency is to be entered? That seems unnecessarily confusing/misleading.

You always bid in the currency of the listing, whatever it is. Gixen doesn't do any conversion. In this case it's GBP, and hence your specified bid of 17.77 was in GBP. You won the auction for 14.30 GBP.

Post subject: Currency conversion Problem
Item number 201206429472
I set the maximum bid at 17.77.
Won the item at 23.07, more than I wanted to pay.
It looks like the item was priced in GPB, so my max bid was converted to GPB so I ended up overpaying.
Can this be corrected, or do I have to check the conversion rate and enter my Max bid in converted dollars?
