What's the point of sniping with gixen if you can still lose by bid increment? I thought the whole idea of this was that you don't have to check it and or react at the last second! It would have been a lot more worthwhile if gixen could warn you that your max bid is not in the required bid increment when you set up the snipe! Doesn't help much to find out after the fact.
It does warn you (the snipe is highlighted) when the auction price is within a bid increment of your snipe bid.
Of course you can still lose if a higher bid than yours has already been place on Ebay/// there is no way to tell if that is the case other than placing your bid(or the other bidder telling you I suppose).
What sniping does is ensure others have no time to react to your bid.... if others independently decide to place a bid higher than yours then no sniping tool can win the auction for you.
