[quote="lachesis777"]Oh, btw, when registering for the forums, I attempted to generate a similar password with the minor difference of it being only 26 characters this time. Unfortunately, phpbb whined that it was over the character number limit, when it clearly wasn't. Removing the higher ANSI characters and generating a fresh password apparently fixed that problem. I suppose that's what you get when you try to push the envelope [/quote]

Just what I was about to suggest :-).
If you figure out what characters (in those 13,000 bits) cause the problem, please let me know.

I see. Well, mine in particular is exactly 13520 bits long and contains all sorts of nasty characters including: upper/lower case letters, numbers, various punctuation, white space, minus, underline, and a whole bunch of higher ANSI characters...all of which eBay happily accepts (basically, unintelligible garbage). It was automatically generated via keepass.info and is kept on my person at all times within a USB flash drive. Any further information you require?

There is progress when people help me - I'm escaping most of special characters. But I need to know what characters I'm missing, that's why I ask for more info.
About the board quote tags - not sure, and I don't care enough to debug phpbb.

[quote="mario"]Email me - some special characters make problems when in password ($ sign is one of them).[/quote]Is there any progress on this issue? eBay is perfectly happy to accept these special characters. Is there no way for your parser to accept a string literal or escape the special characters?
P.S. Speaking of parsers, what's up with the board's quote tags?
