Hello,
Here are a few ideas to improve gixen :
1- I would like to see a picture of the objects, near the description.
2- I have paid for the full version. But it is only available in English while the free verion is available in French. I would like to have the full version available in French.
3- In France and in a some europeans countries, we use the comma instead of dot in numbers. I would be glad if gixen accept 1,5 and 1.5.
Thank you for this very good software ! Keep up the good work.
Alexandre

4- Gixen could remember my username and password on my personal computer. This, because I would be pleased if it goes directly to gixen.com/home_2.php?username=UserName when accessing gixen.com
Regards,
Alexandre

I think '3' already works with Gixen, I can enter values like 3,6 and have them accepted.

For '4', I use the Firefox browser which remembers them for me, if I ask it to.

That is indeed one feature I miss from my old sniper. When browsing several snipes, pictures allow very fast screening... while to have to read an item title is always a lot slower.

THUMBNAILS of items would be greatly welcome!!! (at least in the subscribers' service).

Thanks,

Carlos

Hm, I didn't realize that was so important to many... I'll see what I can do, but it won't be quick.

It sure would be great if Morgan would update JBidWatcher to use Gixen's API so that snipes could be scheduled from JBidWatcher's interface. Then all of these auction management features people are asking for could be handled by JBidWatcher.

The last I heard from Morgan, he was working on this (JBidWatcher for Gixen). I can't wait for this to be made, but apparently he is not on this full time.

Firefox 3.6.3 does not offer to save the login information for gixen.com. Yes, password remembering is turned on. No, gixen.com is not in the list of excepted sites.

Is this working for everybody else?

(It is really annoying for me since I use really strong passwords that are hard to remember. It is very helpful to have the browser remember them rather than having to look them up every time.)

I'm still using Firefox 3.5.9, is this a new feature in 3.6?... If so I'm going to find that annoying too.

I just started using gixen so can't comment on whether it worked when I was using 3.5.9 but thanks for responding.

It still works on 3.5.9, I dont want to upgrade to 3.6.3 yet as some of my plugins are not yet supported on that... if it is a new option that excludes saving of passwords except for selected sites perhaps we can get Gixen added to the list.

It turns out that Firefox does offer to remember my password with Gixen but instead of doing that via a popup window, as it had done in the past, it does it with a bar inserted at the top of the page. In IE this bar is yellow but in Firefox it is the same shade of gray used in the rest of the Gixen color scheme, so I didn't notice it.

So, Cupid, you shouldn't have any troubles when you do upgrade Firefox.

Thanks for letting me know, my Firefox never had a pop up window, it always requested whether I wanted to save the password via the bar at the top of the window... I think that must be the default as I've also sen it on other computers... perhaps we have different options... anyway I'm glad you sorted it out and that Gixen users wont have an issue with it.
