Gixen penalized by Google again

I noticed last night that Gixen rating dropped again at Google:

Keyword
"free ebay sniper", dropped from #1 to #6
"ebay sniper", dropped from #2 to #7
"free auction sniper" dropped from #4 to non-existent
"auction sniper" dropped from #4 to non-existent

Unlike last time, this time no changes whatsoever were made on the site (except few posts in the forum). The only notable change is that Gixen backlink was added by one Gixen user on a site that discusses search engine optimization. I asked this user to remove this link, and I am still waiting for reponse. So I no longer believe that incoming links cannot hurt your site rank. Apparently they can.

I just read this thread and was curious whether whatever was wrong had been fixed.
It sure looks that way as "free ebay sniper" returned Gixen at the top (after 2 sponsored sites). Though "ebay sniper" and "free auction sniper" returned #4, and "auction sniper" didn't even list in the top ten!

Hey David, yes, it has been fixed for a long time now, I just haven't posted an update. In fact, Gixen has been positioned very well for quite a while now, all without any advertising.

I've also been refraining from any changes to the site, especially the home page. When it's not broken, don't fix it .
