Ebay made me reset my password 2 days ago and now Gixen will not work.
When I sign in with new password my snipes still show up. Just missed a $2000.00 auction that sold for $490.00 (152439304985). I have another account with gixen (badbob2219) please help. My snipes should not show up with my new password, something is wrong.

Thanks
Bob

You are correct, changing your password and then logging into Gixen should not provide you any access to the snipes set up with the old password.

What status were you getting on those snipes when Gixen tried to execute them?

Have you started from scratch typing in your new credentials, or did you allow your browser to fill in some of the details for you... that could certainly be an explanation since Gixen will allow you to log in with an old password until you have successfully logged in with a new one. This allows you to delete those old snipes which will not work, and could only cause issues for your Ebay account (and all other Gixen users) if Gixen should subsequently try to log into your Ebay account via its' servers with those now invalid credentials.

I get (from Gixen) "Sign in information not valid " like the title says.
And yes I started from scratch I have done this before.
I did not let the browser fill it in, my computer is not that smart to guess my new password.

Thanks
Bob
PS: Still not working today (shows old snipes). I just added a new snipe for 8 days from now just so I will know when its gone it should be working again.

I that case, this is a new defect, that Mario should be made aware of... or he's added a new feature that he needs to explain to us all...

I'd suggest you send him an email and perhaps even reference this thread in that email.

As you know (I'm just adding this in case others are reading this thread), please also include your Ebay id in that email.

Hi

Is this problem getting worked on? I am a mirror subscriber on my other account.
Its been almost a week and it still is not working. I use this account because of extra ebucks ($159.00 earned this year alone).

Thanks
Bob

This problem occasionally happens when eBay inserts captchas, thus preventing Gixen from logging in on your behalf. In a way, it's a login equivalent of snipes that fail with "verification requested" issue.

There is no magic bullet - the only thing that helps solve it is to use a desktop browser, as opposed to a mobile device or Gixen Desktop Manager. Besides that, the only other thing that affected user can do is wait and try again, or reset ebay password and wait 24 hours.

Hi

The problem is I reset my password but gixen is not using it (I think).
When I sign in to gixen my old snipes show up. They should be gone when
I sign in with new password. Something is not right.

Thanks

No one has mentioned trying the obvious?

Log out of gixen and eBay.

Clear your browser cache and cookies.

Close browser.

Reopen browser and log in again.

Any difference?

HI Thanks,

Did all that. Even went to my sons house and logged in to Gixen with his computer and still the same thing. Gixen takes my new password but is using my old one to log in to ebay. All old snipes should disappear when logging in with new password but they are still there. I have done this before and know how it works.

Thanks

Have you tried talking about it directly with Mario via email, Bob ?

It is often a faster way to get a response from him, he is usually able to get back to you within a day or so.
