I think cpushack is probably correct...

After you enter the snipe, the updates that occur, until the snipe is actually executed are quite infrequent and their main purpose is to update the current price... Occasionally the seller might update the images and the title during the auction so those are probably also checked and updated just for that reason.

I have too many to do that for, but all are back now, it probably grabs images when it updates the bid price, which isnt very frequent until the endtime get near.

I agree the spam filters are a bit crude, unfortunately it is old software, tailored to suite Gixens purposes.. but therefore hard to upgrade.

In response to an earlier post, auction prices were only ever updated periodically, in the background, logging out and in has no affect... the period between updates decreases as the auction end approaches.

It's been that way for years.. and is a reason some prefer to use the Gixen Desktop Manager interface, because that can be tailored to update more frequently... using your own resources not the Gixen servers, which are large, but finite and certainly couldn't cope with updating all auction prices every few seconds as some would like.

Let's, please, keep this thread to the image disappearing issue... and wait a few more hours top see if Marios fix needs further work, or if things settle down to a working state now...

Please start new threads for new issues... or contribute to ones where those issues are the primary subject, preferably also mentioned in the title of the thread.

Just after I transferred my account to use ebay auth, the image feature works fine. When I logged in the 2nd day, it stopped working... I tried the other account and had the same problem.

the odd thumbnail shows up for a couple of minutes but they disappear pretty quick. Also have something weird happening with the order of items ending when I have edited them. Seems to randomly mix up the order for a while then goes back to normal

OK, found the issue and fixed it, image urls are now updating slowly - it may take several hours until they are all updated.

Similar to this issue is I just noticed the current auction price isn't updatng either until I edit (and change nothing) and then it updates.

I always noticed a lag in updatng that information, but on 2 of my items, the last bid for one was 12 hours ago and the other about 5 hours ago. Refreshing the page does not update the information. Only editing and saving.

OMFG... seriously either update that damn spam filter or something... "d ating" by itself OK, but as part of the word "upd ating"?

I suspect it also happens right after a login from another computer or later re-login that day - all pictures are gone.

Same here, pictures are there for a while but then disappear.

I tried turning images off & on again, but no joy.

Also tried using Edge, IE11, Firefox and Chrome, same for all browsers.

Deleting the item and re-adding has returned the image for now...

Also I had to login again after only about 30 mins even though I had not closed the browser ?

But it did place my bid successfully :)

Same. I saw the message it was fixed so wanted to wait to confirm. I edited everything and just re-saved making no changes and the images show up. I just refreshed the page and they are all gone again. Logging out/in, refreshing, hard refreshing, etc. does not work.

The img tag doesn't exist in most of the table cells where it should. For the ones with a placeholder image the tag is <img src="al, Ca$hOnPickup", which looks like part of a payment method string (bad parsing?)

For "Ca$hOnPickup", the $ should be an "s"; really need to train the spam catcher better since "c a s h" can appear in many forms and not just a single word.

I changed over to the Gixen.net today. Snipes worked but currently now all of the upcoming snipes are not showing the item picture/thumb nail. A couple of them just show a silhouette but the rest just have the item number link.
