Gixen will do the same as you would do at ebay - submit your maximum bid, and then ebay will sort it out the usual way (see ebay proxy bidding). You will not pay more than necessary to win.

Gixen simply places your max bid and eBay's bidding system handles the rest. If your bid is below the reserve, your bid will be accepted but you will not win the item and the bidding history will show reserve not met.

The reserve acts very much like someone else's bid: you have to bid higher than the other bid or reserve in order to win. Gixen will not bid higher than you tell it to.

Not sure how reserve bids work through Gixen. For example, I have registered my max. bid via Gixen which may or may not meet the minimum bid required. Will Gixen bid up to my maximum amount or only by the bid increment based on the current bid? Trust this makes sense!
